Amanda Wyatt Visconti

Amanda Wyatt Visconti (they/them) is VBA Type Librarian and a letterpress artist specializing in non-traditional Vandercook technqiues and poster printing (Wolfproof Press). In the last year, they’ve received two fellowships and a monthlong artist residency at the Penland School of Craft. They frequently teach via zinemaking (ZineBakery.com) as well as via UVA Library, where they direct the Scholars’ Lab digital humanities center and its critical humanities makerspace. Their interests include social justice printing, designing & lasercutting custom movable type & printing blocks, collecting queer and trans letterpress blocks, and coding digital book arts projects and tools (EnthusiasticType.com).
