Jen Thomas

Jen Thomas is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Richmond, Virginia. She holds a BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MFA in Interdisciplinary Book & Paper arts from Columbia College Chicago, and an MLIS from Indiana University-Indianapolis. From 2017 to 2026, Jen was the Book Arts Program Director at the University of Richmond and has previously taught book arts, printmaking, illustration, and graphic design at Virginia Commonwealth University, DePaul University, and Columbia College Chicago, among others. Her sculptural board games, artist’s books, prints, and drawings have been exhibited nationally and she loves exploring the intersection between historic print and book production methods and emerging technologies.
