Japanese stab binding: an exploration

Ever been curious about how to create those lovely Japanese stab bindings? Take this class and you will learn two distinct patterns, and take home two beautiful books you have sewn yourself! And of course you may keep the instructions for further use.

All tools, paper and sewing thread will be provided and make each binding uniquely yours. Feel free to bring your own Japanese cover paper, often made of strong but soft mulberry fibers. Open to all. No prior bookbinding experience required.
