Print Your Own Letterpress Cards!
Do you cherish receiving a card in the mail, but get paralyzed when looking for the perfect note to send? In this course, we will create together a custom set of greeting cards so you’re ready with the best cards around—the ones you printed!
We will supply the ink, paper, wood type, and printing presses to create a unique set of 8 letterpress cards with envelopes. As a class we will decide on the short phrases for each card, with each student choosing their type and then printing their own phrase. And Chef’s choice for what you take home: you can do a print exchange with your fellow students or choose the 8 cards of your own design!
Prerequisites
No letterpress printing experience required—only a desire to learn together and work with your hands. We welcome your accessibility questions!
Who should take this class?
Try this class solo, grab a group of friends, or try it out for a date night! Ages 13 and up, and children ages 6-12 may attend with an accompanying adult (cost is per person).
Minimum number of participants: 4
If minimum enrollment for the class has not been reached 72 hours prior to the start of class, VBA reserves the right to cancel the class. In this case, you will be notified 72 hours in advance, and your registration fee will be refunded.
