Reductive Color Woodcut

One Block: Many Layers! Reductive Color Woodcut is a technique for creating a multi-layer print using a single block of wood. After each layer is printed, more of the original block is carved away. In this class, we’ll dive right in and create a 3 layer reductive cut based on an improvised drawing. No preparation is needed: Our focus is on process and technique. This workshop is a good fit for folks with some experience in relief printmaking (woodcut, linocut, rubber block, etc).
